What Should You Bring to Count Butterflies?
- $3.00 count fee (proceeds go to NABA)
- Binoculars (close focus of less than 6ft is best)
- Long pants (for walking through tall grass and briars)
- Sunblock and a Wide-brimmed hat (for sun protection)
- Plenty of water (one bottle of water is not enough)
- Snacks (butterfly counting can make you hungry)
- Butterfly Field Guide (If you have one)
- TN Valley NABA Butterfly Count Checklist (click on the link for a copy you can download and print)
- You do not have to be an expert and Everyone is welcome!
